What is Daylight Harvesting?
Any
system or strategy that relies on daylight to offset electrical lighting needs
is known as daylight harvesting or daylighting. Its main purposes are to conserve energy and to provide people with healthy, natural light even when
they’re indoors. Daylight harvesting methods include everything from building
orientation to advanced lighting control systems.
Daylight Harvesting:
• Norikool – ADS is an advanced daylight solar
system that could replace the translucent lstrip/Rooights in Industries.
Compared to the translucent sheets, these tubular day lighting systems are easy to maintain, with reduced
heat generation and better light diffusion and transmission. Features:
• Manufactured with high impact strength, UV Resistant, prismatic polycarbonate lens
• Uniform lighting distribution across the space.
• Double/Triple glazed system.
• Noise reduction.
• Factory manufactured metal Kerb for leak proof arrangement.
• Long life, maintenance free Day lighting solution.
• Day lighting improves LEED ratings of green buildings.

Daylight harvesting is an advanced lighting control strategy used
to minimize ongoing owner energy costs. It occurs when a sensor measures
daylight levels and signals a control to adjust electric lighting system output
to maintain a desired task light level. Variable daylight levels are
automatically harvested as energy savings through electric lighting reductions.
